Do you ever get pain between the shoulders? Burning between the shoulders? Are you on the computer for several hours a day? Gravity is always pulling us forward, pulling our shoulders forward. Much of what we do on a day to day basis is in front of us and we are using the muscles in the front of our chest. We don’t tend to do much that requires the muscles in our back, especially the ones between the shoulders. As a result our muscles between the shoulders get weak and overstretched, and then we get the painful knots in them. I have a great exercise to counteract this. Wall Angles! Just like making snow angles. You can do these against a wall or lying on the floor (on the floor is easier so I encourage you to strive to do them against the wall). If you do these exercises daily you will notice a big difference. The goal is 20 reps two times a day most days of the week. Here is a video to demonstrate. If you have difficulty keeping your arms against the wall ask us about some stretches to help with that.
