We are starting this blog so you can follow along with what we are doing if you wish. We eat healthy on a regular basis. Lots of fruits and vegetables, some whole grains, lean sources of protein, healthy fats, and limited dairy. We do still sneak in a few things like sweets and occasional chips or French fries. At times it is good to really clean up your diet and system and ‘cleans’ yourself. For the next 10 + days we are eating really simple and clean. We will also follow up with a gallbladder flush. We will be eating mostly fruits and vegetables, plant based proteins and limited grains. No dairy, no sugar except a little honey or agave nectar. The only animal protein will be an occasional egg, wild caught salmon or whey protein in a meal replacement shake. We continue to take our whole food supplements juice plus and standard process for the formaldehyde toxicity we are handling from the major remodel we did on our home last year. We have added on one other whole food supplement while we restrict our intake to help with the cleans.
We will post what we’ve been eating and have some sample recipes as we go if you whant to follow along or try yourself.
Today’s menu included:
Steel cut Oatmeal with black berries (frozen), ground flax seeds and a touch of honey and agave (1 tspn total)
One slice of sprouted grain bread toasted with micro greens and avocado
Lunch was the main meal today, a dish we make with brussel spouts. We slice them in thin slices and sauté them with red bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, garlic and today baby bok choy. Then we scramble an egg and egg white seasoned with soy sauce. Then mix it up like fried rice with brussels instead of rice! Season with soy sauce or braggs amino acids (tastes like soy sauce but healthier).
In between we have each eaten a FEW raw almonds and walnuts
Tonight will be a shake. We will blend fresh pineapple, banana, spinach, frozen blue berries and a meal replacement powder for doing a cleans along with a scoop of unsweetened coca powder! Yum!!
For our exercise today we ran 4.7 miles follow by 4, 50 yard sprints.
